Fundraising and Sponsorship Coordinator
CIUT-FM Toronto is looking to hire a part-time Fundraising and Sponsorship Coordinator to add to our staff team. We have a very supportive listenership that helps us to reach over $250,000 in donations each year.
Sponsorship initiatives are designed to help establish and grow this area of potential new revenue for the station by building relationships with local
businesses and other community driven operations.

The Fundraising/Sponsorship Coordinator will work with colleagues in all other CIUT-FM departments and will report directly to the Station Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Increase Donor revenue through individuals, local businesses, Government Agencies, Foundations, Festivals, etc.
- Plan and manage on air fundraising initiatives with the Station Manager.
- Plan and manage the participation of volunteers in Fundraising
- Plan and manage digital marketing, promotions, sponsorships, events, and more.
- Conduct Donor cultivation and solicitation
- Prepare critical path updates
- Assist in maintaining Donor database
- Lead sponsorship sales by soliciting, renewing, fielding or following through on all leads presented
- Build our relationship with clients by finding a rate set up that works for them
- Work with the clients and managerial staff to approve scripts, production and airtime of all spots sold
- Work toward meeting or exceeding goals in both sponsorship and
fundraising set together with the Station Manager - Other Fundraising and
Sponsorship duties as directed by the Station Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Fundraising experience in a non-profit setting is helpful. We will train up the right person
- Demonstrated abilities to directly engage with community members in order to solicit donations and sponsorships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- At ease working with a diverse range of volunteers
- Well-developed computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and donor-based database software
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Tracking and reporting skills
- Track record of meeting assigned goals
- Capacity to adapt quickly to situations, manage multiple and conflicting demands
Type of Position
- Contract, part-time, 20 hours per week
- Reports to Station Manager
Salary
- Hourly rate, plus commission
- Some flexibility with working hours

Volunteer and Social Media Coordinator
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and a dedicated organizer. The successful candidate for this role will possess an interest in recruiting people on campus and from the community at large. Also responsible for managing and growing the station's online presence across various platforms. This would involve creating engaging content, scheduling posts, interacting with listeners and analyzing performance data to improve engagement.
This position also requires strong administrative skills, excellent communication, both verbal and written.
The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work evenings and weekends on occasion. The volunteer Coordinator and Social Media Coordinator reports to the Station Manager.
Duties Include:
- Working with other CIUT staff to engage with volunteers of varying backgrounds, engagement and experience levels.
- Develop volunteer recruitment, intake and arrange for training
- Working with staff to foster rewarding volunteer opportunities and recognition.
- Collaborating with all departments on how to effectively engage volunteers with station operations.
- Setup and maintain the volunteer database.
- Develop and implement social media content calendars, create engaging content (text, images, videos) and schedule posts across platforms like Instagram, etc.
- Track and analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of content and campaigns, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
- Work with other staff and volunteers alike to align social media efforts with overall station goals.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging social media trends, best practices and new platform features.
- Familiar with various platforms, including their specific features and best practices.
- Ability to create engaging written, visual and video content.
